A PR BUNNY?

I first heard the term PR Bunny several months ago while reviewing a research article for a class assignment. Basically, a "PR Bunny" is stereotype that reduces women to their physical attributes by devaluing their communication skills. Stereotyping women for their looks always seemed pretty cliché to me. Sort of like asking, "Do blondes really have more fun?" C'mon people.

So, naturally you are wondering why I would title my blog "Not another PR Bunny"? Maybe you are thinking that I am perpetuating the stereotype. Well, in reality, I am trying to do the complete opposite.

After receiving the loving award for "The Next PR Bunny" by classmates at our holiday party in December, I felt like I had something to prove. Through this blog, I hope to show the online communications community that blonde twenty-something women are good for more than just small talk at parties.

Sure we like to have fun. But we have big brains and big hearts too. And most importantly, we have something to say and were not afraid to say it.

So, what do I have in store for you? Well, that’s the other thing about blonde twenty-something women, we are full of surprises…
